Hold on, stay strong, cradle your heart.
There is light at the end of the tunnel, although sometimes it feels far too far away. Day, after day, after day.
And there is this air of pressure that sits heavy on the heart, making you feel like you are not ok because you cannot see it. All you can see is the dark. The heavy. The effort.
Hold on, stay strong, cradle your heart.
There will be a moment when the darkness splits and the light breaks through.
It is different for each and every one of us, as is the depth of the dark and the brightness of the spark that splits it in two.
Feel it, all of it, and let yourself be. It is ok to be you, to feel what you feel, and to be however you need.
You may want to hide, to withdraw and take time.
Take comfort and know others feel this way too, and do not fall victim to your thinking that there is something wrong with you.
There is not.
Choose kindness, choose compassion, and choose love, for the wounded part of you.
You are a beautiful spirit in a very physical world. It can be hard, it can be dense, and sometimes it is so heavy you may feel like you could fall and never get up.
It is true that you chose to be here right now, to play a role, to play your part. You also chose to forget your greatness and learn it all again.
For the human part of us, this can feel like too much, and sometimes our bodies cannot keep up with our Soul.
When you feel heavy, and need space to breathe –
Remember to leave your judgement at the door. There is no right or wrong way to feel. It does not matter what the rest of the world says. It does not matter if your bestie is throwing affirmations lovingly in your face and telling you that they are the answer to everything, if only you would try them.
Give yourself a break.
And if the expansive, spirited part of you with boundless energy is a bit much, ask for a rest. Repeat after me “Dear Higher Self, I love you and I know you only want what is best for me, but the human part of me is really struggling right now. It all feels a bit too much and my heart needs to rest. Please give me a little bit of time. Thank you”.
Hold on, stay strong, cradle your heart.
You will emerge from this moment of darkness just as you did the last.
But this time you will be even stronger, and next time you will be stronger again.
Then one day, after you go through something challenging you will come out the other side and say ‘Wow, I did not even notice the dark’.
That is because you ignited the flame, stoked the fire and burnt through all that does not serve you.
By giving yourself space, embracing your compassion, and treating yourself with loving kindness.
How beautiful and strong you are, stepping back into your greatness…. one dark moment at a time.
Here’s to you, stronger and more beautiful every day.
